Human-Centered Computing (HCC) focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of interactive information technology systems that are both usable and accessible. The goal of HCC is an understanding of how humans interact with information technologies and to use this information to improve the lives of those individuals.

Admissions Requirements

  • Ph.D.: Should have or be willing to acquire the necessary competence in statistical analysis and experimental design.

  • M.S.: Majority of students have GPA well above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 

  • Foreign students must also pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 213 (computer-based) or 80 (iBT-Internet-based), or minimum of 6.5 on the International English Language aTesting System (IELTS), or minimum of 53 on the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic scores.
